Lámh is a manual sign system used by children and adults with intellectual disability and communication needs in Ireland

As part of this year’s Parenting Communities Learning initiative, the Parenting Support Champions have organised a series of Lámh workshops for parents and guardians in the Sligo, Leitrim and West Cavan region. Lámh is a manual sign system used by children and adults with intellectual disability and communication needs in Ireland. Lámh supports communication - between parents and child, between siblings, between friends. It can be a stepping stone to communicating with the world. The Little Lámh course is a 2.5 hour workshop for families of babies and young children who may go on to use Lámh signs, or for families who might be using a small number of Lámh signs for now.
