parents and children who have an experience of loss through separation and/or bereavement

The Pillar Project is a one-year pilot funded the Toy Show 2021 and based in Ozanam House, Dublin 1 (SVP). The project aims to support parents and children who have an experience of loss through separation and/or bereavement. Rainbows Ireland group-based programmes are running until June 2023, many based in Ozanam House, however on-site delivery of the programme can be offered to community groups, FRC’s and schools.
The project offers monthly in person and zoom bereavement workshops to support parents who are parenting a grieving child.
The Pillar Project is running a Supporting Parents Who Have Lost A Partner/Spouse on Wednesday the 19th of April 2023 at 7.30 pm.
This workshop will explore the challenges for a surviving parent as they move forward in the parent alone following the loss of the child’s other parent. This event will offer support to parents who have lost a partner/spouse, facilitated by Nuala Harmey.
