Resilience is our ability to bounce back when things are difficult. It’s the ability to cope with whatever life throws at you. Resilience is a combination of behaviours, thoughts, and actions that can be learned and developed. It is made up of many factors including self-awareness, self-esteem, confidence, emotional awareness & regulation, interpersonal relationships, flexible thinking, & reasoning abilities.
In recent years we have faced many challenges collectively and individually, including the Covid-19 Pandemic, Many of us have experienced difficult times and uncertainty. Resilience is fundamental to our wellbeing and to how we survive in such difficult times. The earlier in life we can develop it, the better. In developing our own and our children’s resilience we can support ourselves and each other to cope with whatever life difficulties we have to face.
In this webinar Dr Caroline Burrow aims to provide you with easy ways you can develop your own and your children’s resilience. Dr Burrow will explore seven qualities that can help build resilience, the 7 C’s of Resilience. By helping your child to develop these qualities, they can more easily recover from life’s challenges.
