Positive parenting to support adolescent development.
In this webinar Professor Eilis Hennessy will talk about the key developmental changes that occur during adolescence and how parents can be supportive to young people during this time of physical, social and psychological change. Eilis is a developmental psychologist whose research addresses stigma, bias, and discrimination experienced by children and adolescents with mental health and behavioural problems. Most recently she has been involved in research investigating the factors that influence parents to seek professional help for adolescents and the role of secondary school teachers in supporting students' mental health.

Tired but wired? Parenting teenagers when worry and anxiety get in the way of sleep - tips, guidance and supports.
Dr Paul D'Alton is Associate Professor in UCD School of Psychology. He is a clinical psychologist, teacher, researcher, writer and speaker. In this talk he will provide some practical tips for parents who are coping with worried and anxious teenagers.
